Aion 2 HWID Ban: What It Means and What Your Options Are

Getting banned is frustrating. Getting banned and finding that a brand new account is blocked too is worse. That is how a hardware ban behaves.

How a hardware ban works

A normal ban restricts one account. A hardware ban records identifiers from the computer used and uses them to block or flag later accounts from the same machine. That is why creating a new account sometimes leads straight to another ban or a login failure.

Why it happens

Bans in online games generally come from breaking the terms of service. Common triggers include using third party software, abusing bugs or violating trading rules. Publishers decide when a ban should extend to hardware, and they do not publish the exact rules.

Check whether it really is a hardware ban

Before assuming the worst, rule out the simple causes:

• Confirm the message in your account email or the game launcher actually says hardware or device
• Check whether the problem is a regional block, a login error or a payment issue
• Try logging in from a different network to rule out an IP related restriction

Your realistic options

Appeal the ban. If you believe it was a mistake, the official appeal process is the only route that can fully restore the account. It is worth trying if you did nothing wrong.

Use a different computer. A hardware ban follows the machine, so another PC with different parts will usually not be linked.

Use a spoofer. Some players use a HWID spoofer (link 2) to change the identifiers their PC presents. It does not undo the ban and it does not guarantee future safety.

Start fresh with a new account. Some players buy ready-to-use game accounts to get back in quickly instead of rebuilding from scratch.

Avoid the same ban twice

If your ban came from third party software, the same behavior will probably lead to the same result. Read our overview of the risks of cheating in Aion 2 so you can make informed choices going forward.
